Fly Orchids in Silverdale

(Please click over images to enlarge, and click once more to supersize).
I went out this morning specifically to look for the "Fly Orchid", and was not to be dissapointed. I checked out one of the local spots for this species and did find 3 separate spikes, however checking the area where I did know that three other spikes were last year proved unfruitful. Also closeby has always been a good area for the Common Twayblade with lots of specimens, some growing to over one metre. Also some nearby Broad Leaved Helliborine where well on their way, now in full growth with their flopping new bunch flowerheads, they probably will needs a few weeks yet!

Also had a pair of Marsh Tits.
