I was checking out the Swifts this morning with a old friend and just could not help but admire the rare "crispum" new fronds coming through. It is thought that this specimen could well be from the old "Bolton collection" which was at Warton.

Polygonatum multiflorum - Solomon's Seal (Click over to enlarge)
This shows the totally different profile and colour of the leaf in comparison to Odoratum

This shows the drooping flowers, sometimes in three's, which you
would never get in the P. odoratum - Angular Solomon's Seal (which only ever have 1 or 2 at most)
