On leaving the car park at Dalton Crags and heading up through the snicket to the gate I noticed that there are several dryopteris (Male Ferns) on the right hand side and the full colony show signs of variations with crested tips and other abnormalities to the ends of the pinnae, here are a few examples I had this morning:
