Prunella vulgaris - Albino Self Heal (Click over to enlarge)

We have two areas that support this rare albino. One is found in lower Dalton Crags and one is found towards to top of Burton Fell.
Some lovely birds about today which included 1x Chiffchaff, Marsh Tits calling, Green Woodpecker, and several Meadow Pipits which were young with adults and the adult constantly giving off alarm calls.
Plenty of Limestone Bedstraw and Heath Milkwort, but lots and lots of Epipactis atrorubens (Dark Red Helleborine orchids) here below are some of the photos from today
This to me looks very much like the Specimen 15 family spin off and is only within 10ft of the suspect parent. I have watched this over the last two years and this year looks interesting.
A lovely atrorubens found today and for us on Hutton Roof it can be
called 'hyperchomic'
Epipactis atrorubens - a new one found today and very very interesting!
It is definately atrorubens but might just be something really special
